Beam International Limited today announced the appointment of Dr. Terrence Cutler as Non-Executive Director.
"We  are extremely delighted that Dr. Cutler has joined our team and believe his contribution will be valuable to the success and growth of our company", commented Beam's Chairman, Alfred Milgrom.
"Our intention, as outlined in the Prospectus, was to appoint at least one further Non-Executive Director to the Board. This person we envisaged would be experienced in the industry and would add to the skills, experience and contacts already available to the Company. Dr. Cutler surpasses these criteria", further commented Alfred Milgrom.
Dr. Terry Cutler heads up Cutler & Company, a consulting practice specialising in telecommunications and new media which advises companies and industry on corporate strategy and policy issues.
From 1988 - 1990, Dr. Cutler headed Telecom's Corporate Strategy and Corporate Affairs areas as Executive Director.

In 1994 Cutler & Company produced the Commerce in Content report on interactive multi-media opportunities, and last year the firm released a major study of on-line service developments entitled The Online Economy. Cutler & Company works extensively in Asia and Africa on projects such as mobile and general carrier licensing, new investments in the sector, Internet developments, industry policy and commercial negotiations.
Terry Cutler has published widely, and is a frequent speaker at industry and business forums, both in Asia and Australia. Terry Cutler has recently been appointed Chairman of the Australian Government's Information Policy Advisory Council (IPAC). He is also a member of the Australian Government's Industry Research and Development Board, a Director of Cinemedia (Film Victoria and State Film Centre) and he is a member of the Victorian Premier's Task Force on Communications and Multimedia.
