Famous Faces launched at Electronic Entertainment Expo

Beam International Limited today announced the launch of FAMOUS FACES, a complete facial motion capture system designed to operate on both workstations and high-end PC systems.
FAMOUS FACES provides animators with a real-time high-resolution affordable solution to facial animation, whether the end result is for film, television, games or location-based promotions. FAMOUS FACES is a complete system, including real-time capture, data modelling and display, bringing forth incredible realism, expressions, perfect lip-sync and great speed in data generation.
"FAMOUS FACES will revitalize the imagination of all animators and give the public a preview of the future technology they can expect to see in feature films, television and games" commented Alfred Milgrom, Beam International's Chairman.
"This system is affordable by even small animation studios, and so we expect to see a quantum leap in the 3D facial animation field as a result of this technology."
FAMOUS FACES is the result of a 2-year Research & Development effort at Beam International. "This technology has immense application, whether the required result is photo-realistic animation or television cartoons", commented Dr. Gordon Lescinsky, Technical Director, who oversaw the development of FAMOUS FACES.
FAMOUS FACES will be demonstrated for the first time throughout the E3 period at Booth # 4563, West-side Exhibit Hall. To find out more about FAMOUS FACES, drop by or check out Beam's website at http://www.beam.com.au.
Beam International Limited is the holding company for the Beam Group. It is Australia's only multimedia development company traded on the Australian Stock Exchange (and trades under the symbol BEM).
