Beam International Limited today announced a new division 'Smarty Pants Publishing', which will be responsible for developing and publishing its Educational Multimedia Software on a worldwide basis.
Smarty  Pants is a discrete division of Beam, employing educational specialists and experts in children's interactive education. The division is expected to represent 20% of Beam Group revenue in the next 12 months. "Smarty Pants Publishing is poised to be the leading Educational Multimedia developer/publisher based in Australia" commented Alfred Milgrom Beam International's Chairman. "Smarty Pants is committed to delivering high quality educational products designed not only for use in schools but also for the home user". continued Milgrom.
The first titles to be published under this label include the highly acclaimed award winning "Languages For Kids" series of 11 CD-ROM titles designed to teach foreign languages to primary age students.

Smarty Pants' General Manger, Rebecca Chapman, will be demonstrating the new series at E3. "We're looking to license the series to publishers worldwide" commented Ms Chapman. "From the level of interest shown so far, I'm confident we'll secure deals for most territories at E3".
The 'Languages For Kids' series employs an innovative immersive approach to teaching languages, using fun games and activities to impart educational content of the highest quality. The series covers all the major Asian and European languages, as well as English as a second language. The first title, 'Michio Teaches Japanese' has already won an International ATOM award for Best Primary Resource, and was a finalist in the recent IDMA awards in Canada.
