general tips

steve - storraville@home.com

I always begin by researching my research lab first, followed by the machine shop so that way I will have the first advantage in the air, and the advantage of weapons.

I also try to keep away from using infantry if I am using the survivors or the evolved. I only use them if nessessary.

If you play the survivors at max tech, then you should build some LTA's (I've used only one to take out a mass army) since it warp away numerous enemy units, while doing the damage.

steve - storraville@home.com

Plasma turrets are a good thing to get rid of high tech towers and buildings quickly, so use them on every massed assault.

Against the computer opponent you could sneak armies of Kamikazies into an unguarded part of thier base by using air transport (the Dropship works best).

When you start with a mobile outpost try to find a higher ground so your base can with stand high power massed assaults.

steve - storraville@home.com

If you're playing a skirmish game you should build several ATV's (or equivilent) as soon as possible so you will withstand the computer's initial attack of massed infantry.

To use cheats in a multiplayer game (or skirmish anyways) you have to start a new game (or continue
an old one) and activate the cheats then exit and start the game you can use the cheats to win.

If your using the S9 then you should build many cauterisers 'cause they have a high attack rate if massed, and they're great against infantry.

jgz -

21C units can be repaired by the construtable repair units, be ya never knew that huh??!!

Da Bots - anarchicandy@mailexcite.com

Are nasty big defences stopping you from gettin' at the enemy? Are your troops cowering in the corner rocking back and forth muttering "lightning rods bad... hurties ouch"? Are you too scared to send a dozen of your most powerful vehicles/beasts into the enemy camp, for fear that they will be picked off one by one before even grazing so much as fence post?

WELL SNAP OUT OF IT MAN!! You aint licked yet... its just time to be creative. Naturally air strikes are your first option, but it may be genuinely impossible to bomb due to AA guns that are too well protected (grrrr i'm thinking about you Western camp of the final-against-survivors). Obviously try an artillery gun (if aimed just in front of the defence, you will remain out of range while scoring hits) but it may be hard to protect + those damn mechanics keep on fixing stuff.

My fun way is to have my "rushing forces" on hand nearby with many grenaders and flamers and enough big guys to protect them. With those in readiness - i fill 2 or 3 air transports with suicide troops and send 'em in! Land them right next to the troublesome guns (specify unload) and mouse a box around them and hit that "F" (for 'fight') baby! Needless to say this done 2 or more times will create a path for your ground troops - Inspired by their crazed suicide allies i'm thinkin' your troops will start smackin' up the remaining enemy and camp with a blood lust not seen..... not seen ummmm..... well, not seen since the last enemy camp you tore apart.

NavySEALs(kknd2) - JOKER 4945@aol.com

USE GURRRLIAN WARFARE. LAZER INFANTRY IS EXCELLENT IN LARGE NUMBERS. USUALLY IS GOOD 16- AND UP CAN WASTE ALMOST ANYTHING. I HAVE TAKIN OVER BASES WITH 32 MEN.ALSO YOU CAN GET SOME AIR LIFTS HUG THE ENDS OF THE MAP TO AVOID GETTIN SHOT DOWN AND DEPLOY BEHIND THE ASSHOLES THEN IF THEY HAVENT SEEN YOU YET YOU CAN START TO KICK EM UP BEFORE THEY KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING

THIS STRATEGY IS ONLY GOOD FOR MULTI PLAY.

Timothy Kurtz - Mech24@hotmail.com

When your building your base first build a couple of units for defense. Then work on a efficent oil flow. Then upgrade and build towers. After that attack.

Timothy Kurtz - Mech24@hotmail.com

When you attack you should always go for their oil. If you can`t get to it without running into towers you should use aerial units, but you should have a repair unit close.

Benjamin Breit - BenjaminB@Cairoconsult.de

This strategy is specialy for destroying the DEFENSE-TOWERS of all enemy bases. Go to the Prototype-Icon and build a big PLASMA-TANK with has the following features:
    -faster
    -armoured
    -stealth
    -self-repair
The self-repair is very important ! In a critical situation you can retreat the tank that it can repair itself !

Now you have a tank which will easly destroy DEFENSE-TOWERS or BUILDINGS.

Aaron Culverhouse - aaron75@hotmail.com

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......ya always guard your artillery with plenty of good units, no matter what team you are, and you can just blow the hell out of em.

Michael Quinlivan - Gouldian@dynamite.com.au

When attacking build up your forces and attack from different sides to confuse your enemy, also attack different targets at the same time because they can't defend all of them at once. Also if your really bad at the game you can edit the units to make all yours really good and all theirs really bad, it stuffes up if you are Evolved or Survivor every so often but it works perfectly with Series 9.

You can try this with only stuff lower rather than higher but you make there stuff lower that is bad if lower, and your stuff lower for the stuff that is bad. This doesn't stuff up. Ok Bye.

Joel Harris - darkwolf_1@hotmail.com

If your under heavy attack by alot of men and tanks etc and your wide open. Put some electric fences in front of your defence turretts because the computer destroys them first and they take alot of time to get past to.

Zachary - zookini72@hotmail.com

I got this really kool multiplayer strategy, ya see, what ya do is......
In this order: scout out all of the terrain as early as possible. The weak unit (dirt bike or equvelant) can go straight through an enemy base, therefore giving you a great view to plan your attacks on. If the base is unacessible from the air then send in one empty transport with each attack. Send it over just before your birds go and you have a brilliant decoy. Destroy the alternative power generators. But first you must burn out their oils puddle with repeated bombing attacks. I'll send more strategies later.

COMMANDER signing off. Suck crap UNIT 21 and GANNA-HO, Survivors Rule!!!!!!!

Andy - angech@sheppnews.com.au

This is for when you're using air units. If they've got lots of air defences, and your planes are getting stuffed, when they're about to die try to fly them towards the enemy's base. When it crashes it will kill any small building (ie smaller than a large alternate power source) and wreck any units or buildings near it. This is hard to accomplish but it can make the difference.

Another thing you can do on Tech Level 5 is build a LTA. If you get about three of these the enemy can't touch you, as all their units get teleported away. Also, the teleported units get hurt as well. I found this immensely useful in the last Series 9 mission, where you're attacked by over 20 sterilizers at once.

Eyjlfur Eyfells - eyfells@islandia.is

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......uh it is simple. The only 21st unit you cant repair is The Gemini IIX. All other 21st units can be repaired. It wasn´t possible in Kknd but this makes the game much better.

Dannar - Perdana@pacific.net.id

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is make sure your sorrounded by mountains, and your team is evolved,If your on a high tech mission or multiplayer game, you 1st build a bunker and build alot of people to guard. Then build an upgrading station to upgrade your construction center to full upgrade. then build a scourge altar and send all your people into it and create Scourge demons. Place the demons on the mountains. now the enemy will have no chance to attack {continuesly build Scourge demons}and create a high tech base.

MosGuard (David) - David@oceanes.fr

Here is a good rush sequence to apply with Series 9 :

1- Build your Power Unit, a Macrounit Factory and a Technostudy.
Explore the map with your soldiers.
2- When the Technostudy is finished, upgrade two times your Barn.
When your Macrounit Factory is finished, order the construction of six Responsebot.
Then build a Microunit Factory
3- As soon as the Barn's second upgrade has succeded, upgrade two times the Macrounit Factory
4- When the first upgrade is ended, launch the construction of one Radiator.
When the second one is ended, build one Tankbot and one Oil Tankeroid.
When the Microunit Factory is finished, order the construction of six soldiers.
5- If you want to attack as soon as possible, start your attack when you have finished the construction these units without the Tankbot. You can also attack later when your Tankbot is finished and when you have some units in reserve in your base.

Sorry for my poor expression, I'm French.
Please come in my own page : www.oceanes.fr/~david
Bye !!!

David@oceanes.fr

kua - kua9449@pacific.net.sg

This strategy is good for KKND and KKND2... Well, You think about it....
Have you thinking of capturing a oil rig and then set the "Earth Blood" on fire and burn off all the oil before the new rig comes? What a waste of some good money and 1000 credits? And when your rig sits down the fire will burn the butt, causing some people (like me) to send a technician in? What for? Just send your tankers and dig the oil over there and dig until the last earth blood. Then leave it alone as the emeny starts to recycle the dig. Then ready to hit the emeny units that trained (using the recycle money) and hit them hard and either smash their next oil rig or their main base!

bryan soe - nilar@mweb.co.za

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......
If you've got a really big army of troop units coming for you, take a mobile unit (preferably an atv) and just ride over them.

If you've got an army of mobile units, take lazer gunners and hide around the corner from the enemy and wipe them out, sorta like an ambush.

these strategies are only for defense for a offense, take your army as a crew and try to take out the defenses first, then the units, then the buildings.

Michael Caraway - Christianboy13@hotmail.com

Well, if ya destroy the bridges around your base, but leave one open, then you only have one enrance to your base, so your enemy can only go through there, therefor you don't have to gaurd every entrance, just that one. But if there are no bridges on that specific level then never mind.

Travis Howe - reaper_xxl@hotmail.com

This strategy applies best to soloplay multiplayer battles.

The key to winning against the computer is constant attacks. Once you have your base well defended, start mass producing your best unit or units. Once you have a big army, send it against their base. After that, keep the attacks constantly on that same area with groups of 10 or 20. This works well with bombers, too.

johan engman - engmanjohan@hotmail.com

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......always defend your oil-tankers by letting a couple of heavier tankbots or similiar
units guard them!

when attacking, syncronise your units in a line as far as possible.

Serguei - sem.russia@usa.net

Friends & Fans of KKND-#!
I don't believe that can say something new idea, but maybe my little advise help to anybody. It's concerning your final assault to enemy base, when you take all your forces in one armor fist and crush a opposition (it's your plan... ;-).
To minimize your casualities, use a combination of different units (you know it, of course). Great problem for landing units are Lightning Generator (L.G.), Touch of Death(T.D.) etc. And for flying units - Antiaircrufts. Let's begin. Make some SMALL Plasma. It's really better, because it take smaller part of land's square, than Medium and Huge Plasma, therefore the S.Plasma's attack will be more effective - more Plasmas can attack L.G. in one time (one shoot of three-four Plasmas blust out one L.G.). But wait for minute! The first, prepare your attack: 1) some your troopers will begin to attack L.G. (they all are dead-men, of course :-(, but "LIFE is LIFE"); 2} then, your Plasmas continue attacking, during the time when the L.G. kill all your troopers (it's really short time! Hurry!). Make shure, that your all Plasmas attack the L.G. IN THE SAME time and keep a DISTANCE from each other (L.G. can hit some units, if they stay near each other); 3) your Air Forces can support your attack, destroing "heavy armor land-units" (Reapers, for example) of the enemy; 4) your "heavy armor land-units" (Juggernauts, Barrage Crufts etc.) MUST (!) support the Air Forces, hunting for enemy's Antiaircrufts, also can help to blow out final enemy's land forces. Maybe you have a better strategy... Maybe can take something good from mine. It's your choice. Good hunting and GOOD LUCK!
Serguei (sem.russia@usa.net)

Chad Arner - apocalypse123@yahoo.com

Well
I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is...... Bombers are great for offensive strikes, but do a great job for defense as well. If you are being attacked, and are out-numbered and have a good chance of being obliterated, take all the bombers you have and bomb the infantry. You can clear up a nice batch of a good 20-30 infantry units if you have about 5-10 bombers for defensive perposes only. It's saved me from dyin' plenty of times.

LINK -

You usally want to upgrade everything. And always have a transportable base in a transport(in case of a big attack). And also have Artillery .Always have An airforce ready for action.

Scotty Pippin - scottypippin56@hotmail.com

Well I have got to the first tech level 5 on it using the robot team. Well my tip is... First thing build a research lab... Upgrade your machine shop... Twice... Build two of those things that take oil from the pump thing to the power station to help make money. Then arm your base to the teeth by upgrading the armoury. Then put the most powerfull towers at th entraces even better if on cliffs. Then build loads of Grim-Reapers. And get loads of those robot flamer things... BUT NONO of those exploding things or the enemy shoots one... Your whole tems gone!
Well thats it. Kill those suckers.!
Scottypippin56@hotmail.com

Shane - Shanersd@hotmail.com

This Strategy is for all of the Missions in the game. First Search the map for a good location to defend your self. The best place would be in a corner with only one or two roads leading out. Next find a oil supply close to the area that your base is and use a derrick on it. Now build about two or three power stations close to the derrick. Now Build a Machine shop or Animal pin. and start producing some animals or vehicles to defend your base. Now build a Research lab to upgrade your stuff. Then build some of the things it gives you like a turrent to protect you roads leading into your base. now build a couple of men to scout the area. when they have found the enemys base. Build a monster load of Vehicles and men and attack, but try to attack the derricks first becase with out them the enemy cant build any thing else. with this strategy you should be able to beat any level with ease. UNLESS you are far enough along where Airforce comes in to play. If this happens Build a monster Airforce and Kick BUTT!!!

Sean McDonald - philmc@obtero.net

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is First go to the Unit Editor and make one say for survivors, so you have really good units then save it. Then ya go into multiplayer, go into soloplay and on that screen click on the Unit Stats button until it comes up with what you saved your Unit Editor as. Then press Start and exit multiplayer once the scenario starts. Then finally you enter single player start your survivors campagn (or evolved, series 9 depending on what team you made better) And you should have really good units and finish the levels easy.

Michael - evilkat@java

Well
I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......one of the most effective way to completly destroy your rivial is to just build up on cheap infantry units. Grenadiers are the most effictive agenst vheicles.

Tim mander-Jones - tmanderj@nsw.bigpond.net.au

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......
1. Only got two guys versus a Pod Cannon?. No problem but you must be careful!. Move one guy to just out of range but still get the cannons' fire(its possible!!). Get the other guy to sneak around(not through stupid)the cannons' fire and KKND. Poof!
2. Hate those Torch of Deaths?. If you can build a cheap building such as a barracks do this just within range , it will draw the fire of the Torch while your other units destroy it! You may have to repair the building with techs.
3.Want more tankers quickly? Try building a second power station then once you get the tanker recycle the power station.

alex burman - burman@n2.net

always upgrade your teck. center first so you can upgade faster. then upgrade your main base so you can have walls.

Crick - mozkrick@hotmail.com

To take out a base, first build 10 to 20 Crinoids/Atv/Hover Buggy/ and send them into the enemy base. They should be able to take out one or two defence towers with a few losses. Send them back for repairs as you send in those 10 or 20 Rioters/Grenadiers/Pod Launchers(did I mention those?) to their base, being able to take out a few buildings(works REAL well on mission two of evolved!). When your first attack guys get repaired, and you build more, send them back in to take out the remaining towers and units that may threaten your grenadiers. This works best on one or two technology levels. Of course, I only have the demo, so...

Michael Taylor - artaylor@zipworld.com

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......
Build a wall with a fairly big opening with two turrets on both sides. Outside the wall have about two lines of any troop units and behind that have a line of heavy units. Now you have an ambush. Get a fast unit to go up to the enemy base and lead the units to your ambush. Keep repeating this process until your enemy runs out of resources and units. Then finally attack the enemy base. I've tried it on Warcraft and it works
so it should work on KKnD2.

James Brennan -

When I play a network game of KKND2,Starcraft and other Stategy Games against a friend I am very likely to win because I PLAY DEFENSIVE. I Guard my base very heavily, build units, find there base (without giving my location away) and wait for them to attack. When they do I have my units lined up with my towers providing cover and finish his
forces of then scout again to see what he has defending his base and I either

1. I ATTACK(if I he is well outnumbered)
or
2. I Stay put, up my defenses and number of units and hope he hasn't learned his lesson and wait for him to attack again. Hopefully I will have enough units this time round.

Another Quick Strategy is too wait until a played does a full attack on another and quickly pot into
his nearly unguarded base (that is if he\she is a VERY OFFENSIVE type of person)

Will Jenkins - will@myself.com

Multiplayer

How to cripple your enemy early.

All flamers except the Series 9 rock against buildings. So once you're confident that your base is nearly impregnable (remember, you want to do this as early in the game as you can)- by that I mean you have some troops and tanks overlooking the cliffs - you research your Machine Shop or whatever to Tech 4 and build an aerial transport. Pack Ten flamers into it, take it over to their base (hugging the edge of the map to reduce chances of detection) and drop near their alternative power/oil. Your ten flamers will make light work of at least one building before he even notices them. Targets in order of priority:

Power Station
Alternative Power
Clan Hall

Replacing these is super costly and if you do it early enough they won't have the funds, and will have to sell some buildings - and once that's done, their finished.

Martyn Allan - _reaper_t@geocities.com

I got a stragity (whell Actualy I got Mutiple). The first one is to attact early into the game, because the longer you leave it the harder it is to destroy it (although it is not imposible). Folowing at second is, when you destroy a computers building, leave Mobile Units or Troop Units (More preferible) behind around where the building was, as the computer can not rebild there if your units are blocking it. But the computer will try to build elsewere, which leads to my third (which you may allready do), when you first start to take out their base, take out their power supply, as this stops it from building & rebuilding Buildings and making vehicles.

stephen torraville - storraville@wave.home.com

4 steps
1. with fastest units explore as much as possible.
2. locate and breach enemy lines to determine inside info
3. research all starting with machine shop while
building units.
4. defend and attack like nuts.

Thomas Ellis - trevor.ellis@virgin.net

Well using this strat i have wipped out whole bases, or damaged them enough so a ground attack will kill them off. Hope you like it, it is quite hard to save your air carrier though.
1. Build a troop carrier
2. Build a large constructable S.APC with the explosive upgrade and radarjam and armour.
3. Make a five Kamikazies or equivilent and put them in your constructable unit.
4. Put your constructable unit in the air carrier.
5. Send your air unit into a unit air free bit of the enemy base, unload your plane, then your constructable unit, get the plane away, and let the kamikazies do their stuff and move your bomb vehicle next the a few buildings and let it be blown away by enemy towers/vehicles and when it dies it goes down with a big bang.

Thomas Ellis - trevor.ellis@virgin.net

Right, this strategy is only usefull in the ending levels of the survivours campaign and in multyplayer/soloplay. On any level with tech level 5 build your buildings as far out as possible at the start of them game so you can wall off all the entrances to your base. Put towers behind them, if possible put the towers on a cliff by the enterance so the tower can't be shot at. Now unpgrade your weapons factory to lev 5, and one or more of your vehicle factories to lev 5. now make a LTA for each enterence to your base and watch every attack sent at you be torn apart as the troops can't get near you! And it also seems a couple LTA blasts on infantry kills them, bug maybe? but very good if you are falling under attack from heavy infantry.

Navid Hansen - raistlin_9@hotmail.com

Build towers near your base and when they attack you quickly attack their base when they don't have very many people to defend it. Also make heaps of flying ships and go on a massive onslaught because they don't have very much anti air defences.

General Don't tickle me Elmo - ace_of_borg@hotmail.com

Hey all. I got some really kool tips for all you kaos mode players. When you first start out find the oil and deploy you're base. Then build a power plant and a upgrade center. After they are done build a barracks or equivalent. Then upgrade it at least to tech lvl 2 (the one with the lil' pinnaple chukin' happy people) and churn em out. If you've ever played this mode on anything harder than Easy you know that the comp will rush at you with lotsa guys early. So blow em up! After you get a machine shop up you need to find the bunkers (if they're on) And secure them. You wouldn't want one of those meanies stompin on your guys would you? Lastly find the opponents weak spot in their base and send a transport full of kamikazés and blast all their key structures up! Thas all so Sea ya Later!

mike - artlcdemon@aol.com

A really good stragety(for the demo atleast)is to just build,if possible, alot of units.just keep rolling them out.it may sound corny but it works

Damian Nave - dnave@usa.net

Ok.. This is a general strategy.. But it definetly helps. KKND 2 is a fast pased game which can change at any moment. You can go from a possible win to being blow apart in seconds. So you want to beat the opponent before he can get to you.

The only way to do this is to have a large amount of units. But most of the time we can't afford to build hundreds of the larger more expensive more powerful units.

Sometimes it's best just to go in fighting with the little guys.. Strength in numbers... That way you will overwelm your opponent and you can hit them in four places at once..

The mour units you have the better off you will be .. the bigger the better obviously .. but don't always underestimate your smaller opponents they can do more damage than their profile suggests.. and should be used when ever resources are at a premium or time is of the essence.

keep this in mind next time you play.

akil - hajahan @emirates.net.ae

The main thing is that you got to attack as early as possible and when you attack you have to take your infantry men first then the cheap vehicles then the costly ones and you can keep the aircraft on the two sides.

Thankyou.

Erik - Series_12@hotmail.com

Always in a multiplayer game upgrade your base first. On map09 you should get the island with only one entrance in the southeast corner.Build your top guns on both sides of the entrance and build a thunderfence/forcewall/bugzapper for the entrance and your invincible!!!{except from air attacks}.Use scouts to lure/scout and search for tech bunkers.

Ken Rhee - kenrheew@hotmail.com

1. 5 bombers are enough to take out an anti-airkraft tower in one pass. Their targeting is not accurate. What I do is I force fire (alt) behind the target. The target, building or units will not move.

2. Once you have a good defence, build bombers.

3. Not all destroyable bridges a good to destroy. Leave them alone. They maybe the key to survive. Skout first then destroy.

4. Use infantry to destroy towers. Make sure you have lots of them though.

5. Don't waste ammo on debris. The moment the target is destroyed and blowing up, they will still shot at it until it is totally gone. Destroy the others.

Hiu Bao Cong - hiupeng@pc.jaring.my

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......The Tech Bunker unit can be repaired by the constructible vehicle ---- REPAIR

Tucker Morgan - nathanielmorgan@worldnet.att.net

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......The first thing you do is go into the unit editor and create a file. Then you go and play a multiplayer game with any amount of teams.[Ihave onlt tried with 7 and 8.]Using your file you just made with the unit editor. After you win load a game with the team you were in the multiplayer game.If done correctly you should have edited the singlplayer game.

Tucker Morgan - nathanielmorgan@worldnet.att.net

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......If you have an airplane and you want to get past some anti-air defenses you should tell your airplane to land somewhere where the defense[s] can't hit you.But don't let your plane land. Then go small spaces at a time don't tell your airplane to move to far at a time otherwise the plane will start to fly to high and the defense will hit it.Just keep on going small spaces at a time and you won't get hit because your plane should be too low!

FLOw - udn210a@tninet.se

This is the shit you do . . . . . . . DEFENCE !!!!!!!!
Build turret after turret . . . and wait for enemy atacks. After a miljon atacks they aing gonna' have anymore money, so . . . . . . gues what you do . . . . . KRUCH those suckers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well . . . I shoul'dn say anything . . . i'm just at the second mission . . . . HEY i just got the game

Tucker Morgan - nathanielmorgan@worldnet.att.net

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......When your playing multi player and there are several entrances to your base upgrde your outpost [or equivelent] 1st or upgrade your research lab [or equivelent] then upgraade your outpost [or equivelent].

Cheong Yew - cheongyew@email.com

Whenever you start a game, research your barracks or equivelents to level one and start building grenadiers or equivelents to defend your base.

Mr. Peanut - :(

Series 9's Responsebot is awesome at taking out infantry. You will want to get 2+ factories up ASAP so that you can make Responsebots and tanks. Don't even mess around with the radiator: it is too weak and damages your units as well.

Weedkillers also aren't worth the effort- early on that is. If you are gonna make a large attack against the opponent, throw in a pair or more of weedkillers and you will be impressed. They aren't to hot in smaller attacks though.

Seeders and Podders and excellent against almost anything. Tanks can't flatten them, and they are alot better than normal infantry. Use seeders all the time, while using podders against defense towers and large amounts of vehicles.

Urgo -

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is you build bases on the cliffs and that keeps them safe as you build lots of little units as they can easily outnumber the big guns.

anonymous -

It may sound simple but if you're low on cash selling an empty drill rig/derrick/oilbot can give you 750 big ones.

I would have copied them here, but I will be updating the strategies and the most recent list will be available from the pages listed above in my site.

Dan - DEEN214@aol.com

What you do if your playing in a not so high tech level game is build up your defences and secure every oil site near you base and keep repair dudes around all your guns just wait if you can defend all the oil sites and your base the other team will run out of oil. But it takes a very long time on some missions an extremely long but keep a rich supply of repair guys around so you can repair you guns. I do not recommend do this for every mission.

Michael Harding - mick@nor.com.au

I find that you can do a lot of damage and hold off ememy attack with large teams of the basic infantry. I win most of my missions this way, currently I have finished 5 missions on the survivors team and three on the Evolved Team all through this one strategy. Of course you still need other units to guard buildings and sometimes for backup if you lose most of your infantry. Tip, dont bother with hover buggys, I reckon they are a waste of time.

James Brennan -

Grenaders or thier equivalent are great at attacking aromored vehicles and buildings.

Dave - Davekap@concentric.net

I found this to work the best for me. If ur opponent is bulky in defense, and u cant get through, make a nice big base wit 2 or more oil sites. Then, make many walls (they r so cheap, yet so powerful, u gotta luv em). Behind the walls, make as many powerful towers as u can, with mechanics nearby. Since the CPU usually attacks in waves, u can tell right around when they r gonna come. If u know for a fact that the waves have stopped, ur opponents out of resources! Use it to ur advantage and beat the stage. Note: This doesn't work if ur goin for a par time.

ben -

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......do not spend time ungrading. At start build a lot of ground units for denfense and mind for oils.

anonymous -

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......

Burn oil deposits around enemies base. It only takes a seeder or equivelant. It may not seem like much but it forces mobile oil rigs to waddle around in a flaming stuff for a bit before they open up, which means a systech has to be sent in. If they don't send one, you have a weakened rig open for attack. Also, some units seem to like to swim in flaming oil. They do it often, and they don't move out of it. So, it can also weaken defenses.

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......attack straight away with your ground units. Use tanks for denfense and vehicles and infantries for attack.

Storm -

Before you plan on destroying a base, there is one thing that 99% of the time you will have to deal with first - the turrets. Depending on the terran surrounding the base, you will need different strategies accordingly.

There are primarily two types of possible situations here. One is where the turrets are located on cliffs and the other on just plain land. (Maybe you have both...).

If the turrets are on plain open area, I suggest you pack you troops with a few (3-4) flamers (or equivalent) before you go for the base. They are just really good at destroying buildings, all kinds. To make up for their low hit points and poor armour, you will need some other troop types to draw some fire for them. I suggest having some tanks here.

The other case is where the turrets are high up on the cliffs. In this case, I suggest using air attack like bombers or if possible, drop a few Kamikaze (or equivalent) as surprise attack. Do worry about the Kamikaze being shoot dead. They are never "dead"; they just go BOOM and hurt everyone around. So, drop them close by the turrets and you WILL get something. Make sure your air carrier doesn't get destroyed before it lands tho.

Contrary to what anyone says, you CAN repair the 21st century units.... so long as you have a repair constructable. (you cant fix them in the repairing building, just like air units).

Protect your base well and send a fast unit out to explore. If an enemy unit sees you, rush back to your base. The enemy unit will follow you. When it reaches your base, it will get blasted up by your defenses. This is a good way to explore and kill individual units at the same time.

Chad Arner - Apocalypse123@yahoo.com

If you have an area near your base that is difficult for the enemy to see, send some of your defensive units in that section. Don't make this containment of units too big because all you use them for is flanking. Now here's what you do after you put some of your units in the spot.

The next time you are attacked, let the enemy get a little closer to your base. Then, you send in the units that you hid. You will have a very effective enemy sandwich. The enemy won't know what to do and when they try to retreat, your units are still there to obliterate them. There losses will double and your losses will be halved.

Here is another good tip for attacking. Send a decoy squad. What I do is, send a tiny attack fleet of about 10-15 units. have them attack any side of their base. When they send their units to attack your decoy, you send in a large fleet to destroy their base necessities. The best place to take out is their resource chain and if you still have enough units, take out their barracks\machine shop or species equivalant.

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......to get two oil tankers on the run in the first few missions, build two power stations, recycle one of em.

(Multiplayer really)

Tanks first, then men. For cracking the toughest defenses, all you need is to get your battle order right. You have your tanks go in first - make sure you have a lot, because they're going to take all the fire. Make a hole in their defences. Then have your troops pour in. Because all the enemy fire is concentrated on your tanks, your troops can do some serious damage. If you try sending your men in first they will be cleaned up.

Flamers. The last thing a person expects early in the game is you dropping flamers behind his lines. Once you're certain you have a secure positions (cliffs are soooo helpful for this) work your way up to Air Transports (tech 4 on your Machine Shop or equivalent) and Flamer units (tech 2 on your Barracks). Load your transport up and send it over to their base. Try to avoid overflying areas with lots of units, he'll probably see you. Land near something crucial - secondary power sources or power stations are great. Unload and blow it up. Ten flamers will easily take it out before he can get anything up there. Ignore any units he sends at you, concentrate on buildings. You can permanantly cripple an enemy this way. Be wary of it yourself though, it's not fun when it happens to you.

When attacking, try to attack from higher ground as enemy cannot see you and cannot retaliate unless the reach the same level as you. This is the same when defending, build turrets on higher ground. So, open up your base on higher ground!

Chong Yechao - diediedie@innocent.com

Ho, this is strictly for kaos mode!

Keep in mind that this strategy is very defensive

First off build everything including the armory. Place your buildings so you can place a second power plant within the reach of the next nearest oil patch. When your buildings finally pop out upgrade your armory FIRST and your barracks SECOND (if your barracks and research lab pop out first upgrade the barracks first)and THIRDLY your machine shop TWICE then upgrade your research lab all the way.

The first units to train would be 4 riflemen and 8 grenadiers (or no.%4 series9 equivalents), 3 ATV's, a mobile derrick and 2 basic towers, followed by 2 tanks and 2 tankers.

Split your troops th defend the two most common entrances to your bases, ie. your oil derricks.

Keep high ground in mind. The third ATV is used to scout and victimize lone infantry.

With all these troops you should be able to keep off all the AI has to throw at you during the beginning.

Use Kneecappers and ATV's to take out enemy infantry, grenadiers and tanks to take out enemy vehicles and riflemen to act as cannon fodder.

You may want to build an extra ATV and tank to help defend your ally. If you're careful not to get too near the heat of battle and fire from the side, those two vehicles can go a long way.

(I once defeated 2 tanks,3 ATV's and 8 riflemen with only those vehicles by attacking only when the enemy is busy firing at my ally's buildings and running away when they look in my direction)

After all this try hard to get a fighter before the enemy can get air defences. If you do, aim for the enemy tankers first and destroy all Anti-aircraft turrets that are under construction. Remember, never go head to head with one that has already been built.

LEONNARD - FOOSHNICY1@AOL.COM

IF YOU`RE IN LIKE A BRUTE FORCE BATTLE LIKE IN THE SURVIVORS DOWNLOAD. YOU CAN`T GET YOUR TANKS AND OTHER VEHICLES UP THE MOUNTAIN ROAD BECAUSE OF THE GUN STATIONS, SO YOU HAVE TO GO AROUND, BUT YOU CAN`T. THE ONLY ONES THAT CAN GO AROUND ARE THE TROOPS BUT THERE NOT EFFECTIVE ENOUGH. SO YOU UPGRADE YOUR BARRACK(S) AND GET AS MANY GRENADERS AND AS MANY MACHINE GUNNERS AS YOU CAN.THEN YOU SELECT ALL OF THEM AND MARCH THEM AROUND AND UP THE BACK WAY DESTROYING THE CENTRY GUNS AND ENEMY TROOPS WITH YOUR OVER POWERING NUMBERS AND DEFEATING THAT LEVEL BY BRUTE FORCE.

If you are playing a death match solo play and you have an ally. After killing the enemy fill your allies base with suicide units ex.(martyr) After doing that break your friendship with your ally. Their base will go up in flames.

chris evans - 01EvanCM@cgs.vic.edu.au

Well I got this really kool strategy, ya see, what ya do is......if u start off with a mobile barn/outpost/clan hall, don't immediatly build, use the first time u play the mission to scout for a good position, quit and start again mo0ving straight to the new position.

Peter Bejmuk - SeraphAP@aol.com

Playing the Evolved and need troops from the Warrior Hall to march straight into the Altar of the Scourge? Usually, marshalling won't work for entering something, but try this: select any unit (one you want to sack), hold shift, select the Warrior Hall in question then shift-click on the Altar. This will make all troops from the Warrior Hall march straight into Altar on their own!

sUP O.K. THIS CAN GO FOR ANY MISSION WHAT YOU DO IS MAKE AS MANY BIG ARMYS AS YOU WANT TO MAKE AND SEND THEM NEAR YOUR ENEMYS BASE AND KEEP THEM THERE AND YOU MAKE 1 BIG, BIG ARMY AT YOUR BASE AND THEN MAKE A LITTLE, LITTLE ARMY LIKE I MEAN A ARMY OF 10 TO PUT UP A FIGHT BUT YOU WANT THAT LITTLE ARMY TO LOSE SO THEY GO AFTER YOUR BASE BUT WHEN YOUR ENEMY GET TO YOUR BASE KILL THEM OFF THAT'S WHY YOU HAVE THAT BIG ARMY AT YOUR BASE WAITING FOR THEM. THEN WHEN THEY ARE GOING AT IT THEN YOU SEND IN ALL YOUR OTHER ARMYS IN TO GO AFTER THEY BASE GO AFTER WHAT CAN GIVE YOU A HARD TIME OR WHAT CAN MAKE MORE BAD GUYS AND IF YOU DO THIS RIGHT THEN YOU SHOULD WIN.

Sirri Aktas - Sirriaktas@hotmail.com

The most important thing is in the Kknd series game is the towers. Because when your towers will be strongest and very much you can kill everyone. For that reason you may have some patrols and make towers and defend yourself then when the enemies attack and go back you attack them. If you defend and make them lose warriors you will win.
