Beam International Limited is proud to announce that their online computer game magazine HOTGAMES.COM won the prestigious Best Games Website award in the 1997 Australian Financial Review / Telstra Australian Internet Awards at the presentation ceremony held in Melbourne on November 10.
 The Australian Financial Review / Telstra awards are the most prestigious Internet awards in Australia with over 1500 entries received for judging in 23 categories. The judges had the following comments to make about www.hotgames.com:
"Hotgames' site is easy to navigate, has effective graphics and is up-to-date in this fast changing subject area, creating a sense of immediacy of content. Visitors can participate in chat areas and submit their own tips and cheats, reinforcing the feeling of community."
