Dr Craig Mudge AO, foundation professor of Computer Science at Flinders 1990-94, visited the Computer Archaeology Lab today.
Dr Mudge received the Officer for the Order of Australia, in January 2016, for his work in science, particularly through pioneering initiatives in the information technology sector as a researcher, author and a mentor of young scientists.
As well as visiting the lab, he also inspected the “Mudge Museum”, a collection he donated to CSEM which displays the evolution of computer hardware from the 1940s to the mid-1990s. The “Mudge Museum” is on the 3rd floor of CSEM at Tonsley next to the School Office.
